v20.1.1

* fixed an issue where The DPSelector utility would hang on PCs where the systemdrive wasn't the C drive.
* fixed issue with hard-to-see checkbox ticks in the ssWPI apps selector
* fixed issue with older computers where the SystemDrive variable was not set, meaning the driverpacks selector hung and you couldn't continue setup. Now with a 'Force Setup' button to get around this issue.
* fixed LastXP Builder to not change the modified date to 5-05-2008 for every file on the DVD. The original dates are used where available.
* the Read Me referred to LastXP v20 beta 1 ... much has changed since then so please re-read the read me.
* the Firefox ini was wrong, meaning it didn't get installed when selected. We apologise PROFUSELY for leaving you with only Internet Explorer to use.
* both versions of Windows XP Live! were fixed to work as intended: WinRAR, IrfanView, 7-Zip, Foxit Reader, and Unlocker now all work as they should.
* fixed problem with LastXP Explorer Addons.
* Added Kels Uber Addon 12.5 updates to LastXP_Context.
* Added Kels CPL Addon 8.2.4 updates to LastXP_CPL.
* T13 wouldn't run the T13.cmd if no t13.ini was found - results in no ssWPI install or Settings or tweaks being applied after reboot.
* ssWPI won't detect system drive correctly.
* Added more mini games.
Prior to LastXP v20 (v20.0.0) there were changes. Writing this would take years, sorry!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_tL3zz_UJ2g

IMPORTANT:

“You should apply the updates in the following order:
(1.) “LastXPv20.1.1_Update_1”
(2.) “LXP20_Kay_core”
(3.) “Kay_core_LogonScreenFix”

01. Mount LastXPv20 ISO with DAEMON TOOLS (*it's the best, in my opinion) or insert your LastXPv20 DVD. Open the LastXP Main Menu, it should just auto start, if it does not, simply open “My Computer”, right click on the LastXP DVD/mounted ISO and choose auto start from the menu. The Main Menu will now open

02. Select “CD/DVD ISO Builders”

03. Browse and select “ssWPICD.ini” file located in your LastXP DVD, or the ISO you mounted

04. Make a folder anywhere in your drive (preferably at the root, and make sure, NO spaces)
*you should call this folder “LastXPv20.1.1”
IMPORTANT: Remember where you made this folder, LastXPv20.1.1 you will need to find it again later!

05. LastXP Builder should start copying all the files to folder you made/selected

06. After that you will see a list of options with a “white box” in the middle

07. Drag the “LastXPv20.1.1_Update_1_TEAMLXP.rar” and drop it into this white builder box.
IMPORTANT! Do NOT Unpack the “LastXPv20.1.1_Update_1_TEAMLXP.rar”

08. The builder box will run a test. If you have done everything correctly, a “Log” window will now open up, saying something like this, “...\LastXPv20.1.1_Update_1_TEAMLXP.rar (Added Mods/Updates)”

09. You have now updated LastXPv20 to LastXPv20.1.1

10. Next, IMPORTANT! Leave the LastXP Builder window open! (if its in your way, just minimize it)

11. Right click on LXP20_Kay_core.part1.rar, use winrar to extract to desktop
IMPORTANT! You do not need to extract all parts! This is one big archive divided into 7 parts

12. Now you should have 3 folders on your desktop called “XPP1” “XPP2” “XPPro”

13. Open the original folder you made with the LastXP Builder: LastXPv20.1.1,
*Delete the following folders XPP1, XPP2, XPPro

14. Go back to the 3 folders you made earlier on your desktop (XPP1, XPP2, XPPro), Select all 3, CUT
(if you press and hold the “CTRL” button, while clicking on each folder, you can select all 3 folders)

15. And PASTE these 3 folders into the folder (you made with LastXP Builder): LastXPv20.1.1
*If you have done everything correctly, you have just pasted the updated folders; XPP1, XPP2, XPPro, DIRECTLY into the LastXPv20.1.1. folder (Replacing the old ones you just deleted)

16. You have now applied the LXP20_Kay_core update to LastXPv20.1.1

17. Next you should apply “Kay_core_LogonScreenFix.rar”. Open the LastXP builder again. Drag the “Kay_core_LogonScreenFix.rar” and drop it into the white builder box.
IMPORTANT! Do NOT Unpack the “Kay_core_LogonScreenFix.rar”

18. The builder box will run a test. If you have done everything correctly, the Log window will now open up again, saying something like this, “...\Kay_core_LogonScreenFix.rar (Added Mods/Updates)”

19. You have now applied the Kay_core_LogonScreenFix update to LastXPv20.1.1

20. Next, using the LastXP builder window again, click on Make LastXP ISO, choose: “CD Shell Menu (recommended)”. LastXP Builder will ask you where you want to build? Make a new folder called: LastXPv20.1.1_Kay.Core.Update, build your new ISO into this folder

21. Let the LastXP Builder do its work...
(Don’t worry about “WARNING: these two files are identical for the first blah, blah bytes, but differ at some point beyond that. This could be intentional, but it might indicate that one of these two source files is corrupt)
*this IS intentional, the files are NOT corrupt!

22. Next burn the ISO image you just built into the folder “LastXPv20.1.1_Kay.Core.Update” using your favorite burning program
Very IMPORORTANT! This is an “.iso” file, which means you must burn it as an IMAGE!
IMPORTANT, it is always a good idea to burn LastXP at the slowest burn setting!
(This is because there are a lot of tiny files contained within LastXP, which burn more reliably at slower speeds)
*please note, it is always a very good idea to use the option "verify", to make sure the burn process completed without errors...

*Question: I have already updated LastXPv20 to LastXPv20.1.1 and burnt it as a DVD! Now I would like to apply Kay’s Core update, what should I do next?
*Answer: The procedure is basically the same, but just to refresh your memory:
Insert the LastXPv20.1.1 DVD into your disc drive. Go to the LastXP Main Menu and select “CD/DVD ISO Builders”. Browse and select “ssWPICD.ini”. Make a folder and name it “LastXPv20.1.1”. LastXP Builder will copy all files to this folder. When the LastXP Builder is done, minimize it (IMPORTANT: Do not close the LastXP Builder) and open the LastXPv20.1.1 folder (that you just made). Next, delete the following folders: “XPP1” “XPP2” “XPPro”. After you have done this, if you feel comfortable with winrar, just select the first part of the 7-part rar; LXP20_Kay_core.part1.rar and extract directly to the LastXPv20.1.1 folder. If you have done everything correctly, you have just extracted the updated folders; XPP1, XPP2, XPPro, DIRECTLY into the LastXPv20.1.1. folder (Replacing the old ones you just deleted). Open the LastXP builder again, drag the “Kay_core_LogonScreenFix.rar” and drop it into the white builder box. The builder box will run a test. If you have done everything correctly, A Log window will now open up, saying something like this: “...\Kay_core_LogonScreenFix.rar (Added Mods/Updates)” Using the LastXP Builder again click on: Make LastXP ISO, next choose: “CD Shell Menu (recommended)”. LastXP Builder will ask you where you want to build? Make a new folder called: “LastXPv20.1.1_Kay.Core.Update”, build your new ISO into this folder. Let the LastXP Builder do its work… LastXPv20.1.1 is now updated with the Kay core update and is ready to burn as an ISO-image.

*Question: Kays Updates have no numbers! Which update should I apply first?
*Answer: IMPORTANT: “You should apply the updates in the following order:
(1.) “LastXPv20.1.1_Update_1”
(2.) “LXP20_Kay_core”
(3.) “Kay_core_LogonScreenFix”

*TROUBLE SHOOTING:
01. Always download LastOS Releases and Updates from a reliable source!
*reliable sources are listed at “sharingisthepoint.net”. When possible, compare the data size of your downloaded file with that of the original. (If you want to be extra careful, test all downloaded releases with a good Anti-Virus program, *but you can be assured that all LastOS releases are thoroughly checked and rechecked before they are released to the public!)

02. Before you start the updating process, go offline, turn off your firewall, turn off your anti-virus, and only then start re-building!
*anti-virus/firewall programs often interfere or even remove some of the files being copied!
Example:
*Those of you who use “NOD32”, shutting down this program is not enough!
-My experience: Everything stops at “Copying Anti-Malware to Anti-Malware”, NOD32 does not approve of this! I right clicked on the NOD32 symbol in the task tray and shut it down. I pressed control+alt+delete, checked for “nod32krn.exe”. I ended this process and waited about ten seconds, bing! nod32krn.exe was back! The best thing to do is uninstall it with a good uninstaller program. (Remember: click, click with the LastXP-Appz-1, or the LastXP DVD, and NOD32 is back!) ...after you uninstall NOD32, RESTART your pc! Then start the update process again, and all should be well. (It was for me…)
*Kaspersky acts in a similar way! "Active Monitor" stays open in the Background, even after you have shut Kaspersky down

03. When using the LastXP builder, remember! NO spaces!
* The Path to the destination Folder should contain no spaces! The Folder, into which you intend to build your updated ISO, should also have NO spaces!
* It’s best to just make a folder at the root and name this folder “LastXPv20.1.1”

04. You do NOT need to unpack the update “LastXPv20.1.1_Update_1_TEAMLXP.rar”

03. Make sure you have enough space on your hard disc drive! (Paranoid mode: also check your HDD for bad-sectors)
*Please note: you can't copy/create a file larger than 4G on a FAT32 formatted drive

05. Should you be having problems creating the LastXP ISO in the usual manner:
*after you have applied all the updates, EXIT the LastXP builder! Next open the Folder where you created your UPDATED version of LastXP, in our case it will be called: LastXPv20.1.1, (and will be located at the root). Search for a Folder called “MyOEM”, open this Folder, next look for the Folder “BuilderTools”, inside this folder you will find the XPBuilder.exe. The path should look something like this “C:\LastXPv20.1.1\MyOEM\BuilderTools\XPB uilder.exe “. Use this UPDATED version of the LastXP builder to create your ISO. (This version of the LastXP Builder has been updated and should work correctly. (The previous version of the LastXP builder failed to create ISO's in certain cases…))Next, browse and select the “ssWPICD.ini” file located in the LastXPv20.1.1 folder. IMPORTANT: choose the ssWPICD.ini, located in the Updated LastXPv20.1.1 folder, NOT the ssWPICD.ini, located in the DVD or mounted ISO, remember we want to make an ISO of the UPDATED LastXP! When you have done this, the LastXP Builder - Main Menu will now be available, click on make ISO, choose "CD Shell Menu (recommended)" Click on the “Create” button, the builder will ask you to choose a location where you wish to build the UPDATED ISO, Create a new folder, name it something like: "LastXPv20.1.1_Kay.Core.Update" (remember NO spaces in the name!) press ok, a command window will now open. This is the LastXP builder working, when it has finished creating the updated ISO, it will automatically close. Your ISO is now ready to burn and you will find it in the LastXPv20.1.1_Kay.Core.Update folder…

06. If you are still having problems installing LastXp from a SATA Disc Drive (after having applied Keys Core Update! *which is very unlikely!)
*First try the “Safe install option” (the option without the Sata/Raid drivers - (number 2)), using “F6” to install the exact drivers you need
*If this does not work, remove ALL hardware except 1 HDD and 1 DVD drive - also unplug any USB devices and even CARD readers! (Or just disable USB with BIOS) If possible install LastXP using an IDE disc drive, instead of a SATA disc drive. (*idea: take the IDE DVD disc drive from your old PC!)

07. On most new pc systems you just need to restart and press F8, then you can choose from which Device you want to boot from! (No need to mess about with the BIOS)

1. Go to autorun menu of your LXP DVD.

2. Select "CD/DVD ISO Builders." (The one from the first image.)

3. Browse and select "ssWPICD.ini" file located in your LXP DVD.

4. Make a folder anywhere in your drive (preferably at the root, and make sure no spaces)

5. Then it should start copying all the files to folder you made/selected.

6. After that you will see a list of options with a white box in the middle.

7. Download the update and drag the file (.rar) into that white builder's box and it will analize it. (Leave it compressed.)

8. If it says "Added Themes/Update" then its perfect.
9. Apply any other tweaks or modifcations you wish (optional)
10. Make ISO using preferably the reccomended option for boot method.

11. Select where you want to save ISO. Then you'll get a CMD Prompt telling the progress of ISO build.
