It will land on a mere 160mb footprint and utilize merely 40mb commit charge "clean",
so dust off that old saggy box you have tucked away and take it out for a spin and
let me know whattaya think.
This thingie was made with FTP and gamehosting in mind,
but it will also run gameclients with no issues from what I have seen..(tried HL2, FarCry, COD).
What this was intended for and CAN do:
Host FTP sessions with msql and/or host games. (via TS/remote desktop if needed)
What this MIGHT do:
Run pretty much anything that will install on a 2K3 OS (except what is stated in NOT section)
What this can NOT do:
Run any MS Office related stuff due to ripped database functions (ODBC,JET..and so on..)
..but ofcourse, anything CAN be done.
Install time: 5min + 1 extra boot
Remember, this is just for fun....!
The intension was to make a standalone FTP or gamehost rig.
With that in mind I decided to remove SMB in whole, no need for filesharing and such then.
Securitywise this setup is very tight, no COM, MDAC, SMB,
NetBios or any other components that could make the life easier for something/somebody that are "up to no good" with your box.
Nullsession, Pipes...everything is either removed or hardened. This girlie will hold her knees together nomatter what...
But to answer your question, ...well, it CAN be done....but to much a hassle.

Some keygens will not work on this, related either to lack of 16-bit compability or licensing.
There are some errors generated in eventlog related to removed components, I'm working on editing those calls...
If you wanna plug in hotfixes and get errors, just install something first that utilizes a .msi installer, that will generate a installpath.
All Hotfixes until 2005-10-10 have already been streamed in.
